Task 1 — Read a Text Aloud

Read the following announcement clearly and naturally:

“Good morning, everyone. Today’s team meeting will begin at 9:30 in Conference Room B. Please bring your monthly sales reports and be ready to discuss your progress, current challenges, and objectives for next month.”

Focus on clear pronunciation, natural rhythm and a steady pace.

Task 2 — Describe a Picture

Imagine this picture: three colleagues are sitting around a meeting table. One person is presenting information on a laptop, while two others are taking notes.

Describe the scene in 30–45 seconds.

Organise the answer: place, people, actions, details and possible context.

Task 3 — Respond to Questions

Answer each question naturally:

  1. How often do you use English at work or in your studies?
  2. What is the most difficult part of speaking English for you?
  3. Do you prefer online meetings or face-to-face meetings? Why?
Give complete answers and support at least one response with an example.

Task 4 — Express an Opinion

Some people believe that employees are more productive when they work from home. Others believe that working in an office is better. Which do you prefer and why?

Speak for 45–60 seconds.

Use a clear structure: opinion, reasons, example and conclusion.

Task 1 — Write a Sentence Based on a Picture

Imagine this picture: a woman is standing at a reception desk and speaking to a hotel employee.

Write one complete sentence using the words:

guest / receptionist / checking in

Check subject–verb agreement, word order and the relationship between the actions.

Task 2 — Respond to an Email

You received this email from your manager:

“Hello, could you please confirm whether you are available for a client meeting next Thursday at 10:00? Also, please let me know if you can prepare a short presentation about our latest project.”

Write a professional reply.

Include a greeting, confirmation, availability, presentation response and professional closing.

Task 3 — Opinion Essay

Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

“Companies should invest more money in employee training.”

Write 120–150 words.

Use an introduction, two developed reasons, an example and a concise conclusion.

Speaking — Picture description

Three colleagues are sitting around a conference table in an office. One person is showing information on a laptop, while the other two are taking notes. They appear to be discussing a project or reviewing business results.

Why it works: it identifies the location, people, actions and likely context in a logical order.

Speaking — Opinion response

I prefer working in an office because communication is usually faster and teamwork is easier. First, employees can ask questions and solve problems immediately. Second, face-to-face contact can improve motivation and reduce misunderstandings. For example, project meetings are often more productive when everyone is in the same room. For these reasons, I believe office work is the better option for collaborative roles.

Why it works: it gives a direct opinion, two reasons, a relevant example and a clear conclusion.

Writing — Picture sentence

The guest is speaking to the receptionist while checking in at the hotel.

Why it works: the sentence uses all required words naturally and accurately describes the relationship between the actions.

Writing — Email response

Dear Ms Taylor, Thank you for your message. I am available for the client meeting next Thursday at 10:00. I can also prepare a short presentation about our latest project and send you a draft by Wednesday afternoon. Please let me know whether there are any specific points you would like me to include. Best regards, Alex

Why it works: it answers both requests, confirms availability, adds a useful action and maintains a professional tone.

Writing — Opinion essay structure

Introduction: state your position clearly. Paragraph 1: explain how training improves employee performance. Paragraph 2: explain how training supports retention or adaptation. Example: give a realistic workplace situation. Conclusion: restate the main benefit without repeating every sentence.

Why it works: it keeps the response focused, develops two separate reasons and uses a clear paragraph structure.
